a little muffled
It is completely ridiculous, particularly the people likening it to censorship. Reading this reminds me of a TRS discussion, one of the really bad ones.

What is it that's being discussed? "Image filter"...?

An image filter should be put in place, people post pornographic materials on Wikipedia.
  • For some reason, I thought this would be about filtering images of Mohammed.
  • Could be that too, if this gets out of hand.

Nothing is being censored. This is a proposal to create a voluntary, opt-in filter for images in certain categories. You know, so if you're doing research at school, you don't get in trouble because you find full frontal nudity by accident?

Not that many would be doing research on this for school, but this is the case for some BDSM related pages.
