On Stat-based games where you can haxxor your character offline and bring him online with the assumption that you got all his stats NATURALLEH is the problem.

It doesn't matter what you all think. Every major company with PC titles will eventually implement this and you will accept it, because the only other option will be to not play the games.

I'll bet Namco, Ubisoft and EA are just dying for Wi-fi to get popular enough for them to pull this stunt on console games.

people will stop playing PC altogether if this sort of shit keeps going your asusming that the consumer will buy it whether they like it or not. I for one realize the power of the consumor and will excorcise it by not buying a product and actively telling people not to buy it because the business is activng in a stupid or evil way.

I saw Penny Arcade's strip about this issue, and that's the point when I removed them from my RSS feeds.

"Eventually" could be a very long time. Even a month is long enough for people to throw up their hands and buy the game.
