  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
@MoeDantes: I've played Penumbra, but not the other two.
  • no longer cuddly, but still Edmond
Clock Tower and Clock Tower: The First Fear (using their American names) are worth it. Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within is... kind of interesting but you could tell it was rushed.

Then Capcom got their hands on the license and made Clock Tower 3, and I've hated Capcom ever since.
  • Yes, the Alone in the Dark games were definitely more scary than RE, if only because of the more grounded setting. I liked the idea of the Lovecraftian horror archetype instead of the standard "last man left after the zombies" storyline.

Did you ever play Alone in the Dark: Inferno? I thought that was the best survival horror game this gen imo. Lots of great puzzles with different ways to approach them, really interesting sandbox aspects and lots of little unnecessary details (like being able to fiddle with the interior lights of the vehicles) that really make it come alive. Plus it stars Max Payne.
