Think of it as a split between personal classifications and situational classifications. For example, if a bisexual woman has sex with a straight man, that's a heterosexual situation for both of them, but if another woman is brought in for a threesome, it's a bisexual situation for the woman and a heterosexual situation for the man. Get it?

I'm not saying that's how it necessarily should be, I'm just trying to reconcile with how it is, i.e, why they call it "lesbian sex" even if the two participants aren't necessarily lesbian.
