I'm only watching 1 episode like every other day.

Clearly the solution is to close out of Chrome and stay up until 5 in the morning finishing it. Right?

    I can kinda relate.

Juan's gonna kill me for this, but...I still haven't watched "A Good Man Goes To War" (the Doctor Who episode)

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I only got to, like, the fourth episode of season 2 before I said "meh" and stopped.

    ^I only watched it yesterday.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    WATCH IT! WATCH IT ALL!
  • The last third or so of season 2 of K-ON! is like my favoritest thing ever.  Because lots of heartwarmingness.

Anyway, yeah, definitely finish K-ON!! as soon as possible.  It's good. :3

^ I sorta figure. Even before the second half of it, I found myself really touched by the end of some of those episodes (like the one with the graduate who was the president of Mio's fanclub, and the one with Summer Fest).

Also, I think I actually like "No, Thank You" more than "Don't Say Lazy".
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
No Thank You is my favorite ED, the opening riff is also excellent
  • You can change. You can.

You people depress me. All of you. Hmph.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I only watched it two days ago...>.>

Though that's because I was out of the country for part of the season and didn't want to skip ahead.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I'm very bad at watching currently airing shows.  I'm much better at archive binging.

    Oh well...

    Anyway, this thread reminded me...

IJBM: Having around 50 thousand started series and not knowing what to finish after Rahxephon.

^I only break my "I wait till the DVD" rule for Doctor Who. Mostly because I think Who is too episodical for someone to enjoy binging it, imo.
  • It's slice of life, there's really no point in taking it all in one bite.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    -shrug-

I binged the first five seasons of Doctor Who and loved it.

I binged the first five seasons too.
  • I was talking about K-On, actually. No idea about Who.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    I was replying to Juan.

I binged the first season. The other three, I watched sporadically. Five I binged because my sister forced me.

"It's slice of life, there's really no point in taking it all in one bite."

See, it doesn't feel like slice-of-life to me anymore; I've become emotionally invested to the point where I can no longer see it as just a nice little lighthearted break from reality and view it as I would any other plot-driven show I like.

Slice-of-life shows are actually a lot easier for me to binge than plot-heavy shows.  Since I don't have to worry about missing something and then not understanding stuff later.  So I can watch slice-of-life shows whenever, but I can only watch more plot-intensive things when I know I can really focus on them, which usually is for a relatively short period of time because I don't have a very long attention span.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
What Dyre said. I'm only watching BSG in two-episode chunks because otherwise my ADD kicks in.

On another slightly related note: I'm glad that the second opening for the second season is actually pretty good, if kinda proggy for a light rock/j-pop band. Beats the shit outta "Cagayake! Girls" and Go! Go! Maniac".

I'm a little disappointed, though, that "No, Thank You" is basically a slightly better but more melancholic version of "Don't Say Lazy".
  • I couldn't make it past Azusa's first full episode.
  • I liked Go! Go! MANIAC, actually.  I didn't like it at first, but especially once I listened to the full version I started liking it a lot.  Mostly because of the drumming.

Utauyo!! Miracle is good though too.  I made a Frets on Fire notechart for it, for guitar and vocals :3 (and was going to do drums and bass but then I got bored).

No, Thank You is definitely a million times better than Listen!!, and slightly better than Don't say 'lazy'.

Really, though, I like all the K-ON! music.  At least all that's in the shows. I don't like some of the image songs, though.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Sounds like an invitation to post something!

I hit the point where she started crying and was all like "BAWWW HOW COME YOU GUYS ARE SO GOOD EVEN THOUGH YOU NEVER PRACTICE THE ENTIRE FOUNDATION OF MY JAZZ GUITAR WORLD HAS BEEN FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN AND MOLSESTED". That was when I tuned out completely.
  • But then it turns out that the reason they're so good is because they have the power of friendship, so then Azusa allows Yui to continue raping her in the hopes that she will inherit some of Yui's guitar prowess, because Azusa doesn't realize that's not how it works.

    Or something.

Anyway, I liked K-ON!, but that actually is probably my least favorite episode, though mostly because that episode is kind of boring.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I think the episode where Azusa realizes she's getting the rest of the group's habits is more entertaining.

    "Mostly because of the drumming."

That's my favorite part about it, too. I was surprised at how complicated the drum part is.

"No, Thank You is definitely a million times better than Listen!!"

I so concur. "Listen!!" is definitely the worst of the OP/ED songs that have been used.

    ^^^^

^^^ But that was so adorable!

^ That is, in fact, the one I'm watching right now. It's awesome.

Anyway, I like the abridged series better:

Skip to 3:30 and prepare for the most awkward erection you've ever had.

Well, that was a great episode, but it's already 1:22.

Impressions of the second half (since I'm too lazy to go rewatch the first half):

["He went back to the bathroom."

"Maybe he's entered a rebellious phase."

    XD

"Eat rice if you claim to be Japanese!"

    lolwut Ritsu

    "Isn't that sticker cute?"

    ;\\\;

    Wow, I'm a sap.

(No, I didn't actually cry at this one, but as with every episode recently, it's ridiculously heartwarming, given the buildup).]
  • Was that episode 16?

If so, then the next episode is one of my favorites, because of heartwarmingness.  And the two after that are lol.
