    Not just destroying our status as a superpower.  Destroying the world's economy, since a huge part of the economy depends on the assumption that the US government is incredibly stable and never going to default.

    The Republicans desperately wanted to get more seats in the U.S. Congress and take a majority in at least one house of Congress.

    They forgot that this meant that they would have to actually govern the country.

    I can only congratulate them.
