The New Media forums

Why are they so much more aggressively stupid than most of the wiki?

Comments

  • Likes cheesecake unironically.
Because Caustic Critics. At least, that's my theory. People can get pretty worked up about Yathzee, Spoony, etc. for no good reason.
  • Because Acridity and Indigo Dingo are regulars there.

And they are in the same team.
  • It's tasteless to attack someone on these forums.

    Also, you forgot Esteban 009.
  • I am not attacking anyone, any interpretation of my post as an attack is purely inference by the reader.

In any case, because the New Media forums suck, I just limit myself to the Zero Punctuation and Extra Credits threads... the latter moreso than the former, so I'm not aware of all of the regulars.

But, anyway, it's kind of to be expected, it's a place dedicated to talk about people who got e-famous by acting like colossal douches (regardless of their actual personalities)... they're bound to attract at least a sizable amount of douches.
  • What is "New Media" even supposed to be for? New media, or just overrated critics? That seems pretty useless to devote an ENTIRE subforum to just them.

New Media is apparently fanfiction and anything that is popular on Youtube.
  • Oh. So....Internet Based Fictional Works?
  • But then you'd have to include webcomics, too. It's tenuous, to say the least.

Well, I mean unusual internet based fictional works. Like Widgets, a youtube series, avatar comics, animated gif series and fanfictions.
  • Also it includes websites and reviewers, despite those not even being works of fiction.
  • >reviewers
