The Golden Mean Fallacy. The funny part is an example of trying to find a middle ground between socialism and free markets.  Can anyone guess hwat it was?

    How does the golden mean fallacy even apply in this case?  That fallacy only states that compromise solutions are not necessarily good solutions; it does NOT state that compromise solutions are necessarily bad solutions.

    Barring the fact that there are MANY DIFFERENT ideas of what "good" (the adjective) means in economics and government, there's also the fact that reality dictates that you will always have a mixture of market control and market freedom.
