The Da Vinci Code

Okay, this is way late to the party, and I'm sure you know all about how much the writing sucks and how little research Dan Brown does, but I have something different to complain about.

Doesn't the name "The Da Vinci Code" mean "The from the town of Vinci Code"?

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    Yep.

Well, technically, "The from the town of Venice Code."
  • That is a really minor complaint though.  "The Leonardo Code" would have been a lot more accurate, sure, but for most people, they think of the artist as "da Vinci," even though that's incorrect.  "Leonardo" is just a turtle.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
"The Leonardo Code" doesn't have the same ring to it.
