Frank Gehry...well, looks like he was inspired either by Picasso or by Dracula's extra-dimensional storage space.  And last time I checked, Picasso didn't design buildings, and Dracula...well, he's Dracula.

A lot of the good modernists designed their buildings with their environment in mind. I think that's one of Gehry's problems, he just plunks shit down wherever it may be.

The "modern art" exhibit at the Denver Art Museum is not full of what I would call "shitty and pointless" work. A lot of it didn't make much sense to me, though. (I did like the wheelchair whose handles were serrated blades, even if it is deeply depressing)

Exactly.  That's what architecture should be about.

In fact I've read that Gehry designs his buildings by crumpling up paper, throwing it on the floor, and then designing that in large scale.
