The hassles of getting a drivers license

My uncle is the only person I know who qualifies to be a guarantor of my identity for the purposes of signing up for public insurance, the handbook looks long as shit, and after getting my learner's permit I'll apparently be barred from drinking for 5 years, though I doubt that ever stops anyone.

On the other hand, the tests themselves are apparently really easy, seeing as any gormless asshole can get a license.

    Wait wat

They don't do that IN AMERICA!.
  • Of course, snowbull doesn't live in America, so...
  • That's what I meant.

  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
    Where do you live snowbull?
  • Frozen Forest, IIRC.
  • I only had to pay $6.28 and show my Permit.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I actually have a special license that's recognized in Canada and lets me drive taxis, buses, and limos.
  • No rainbow star
I don't bother trying to get mine, because Calgary drivers scare the shit out of me

...This will cause troubles if I ever get married and become a father...

"You can't pick up the kids!? Why!?"
"Because I only have a learners..."
    "...lolwut?"

    And also:

"Dad, can you teach me how to drive?"
"Son/daughter, even I don't know how to drive"

...Wait, that second one is a plus

I'm in the process of learning to drive, and it's not bad apart from the school rush where near the primary schools the everyone parks everywhere, like on corners, opposite junctions and the both sides of the road.

Makes it scary trying to navigate that especially as there may be on coming traffic too.
