That never fails to make me grin.
That is what I would do if I took up fencing.
Fencing is actually an old word for "fighting", with any weapon, that has become something of a vestigial term in English that ended up being narrowed down to "fighting with a strict set of codified rules with imitation swords, but only those that imitate smallswords and sabres".
The more you know! ¤
I said the word "fencing" in the hopes of receiving sword trivia, and you did not disappoint!
/actually not being sarcastic
To be fair, Alexbots are programmed to do such when such voice commands as "Swords", "Medieval" or "Fencing" are used.

medieval
Medieval Swordfencing.
Medieval; adjective describing something to be from the Middle Ages, an era considered to have begun with or shortly after the fall of ancient Rome and have ended with the beginning of the Renaissance in the mid-late 15th century. The medieval period can be thought of as having three or four distinct eras: the "optional" Migration Period, which see the expansion of Germanic, Celtic and Slavic tribes into new territories and new social structures; the Early Middle Ages, which is dominated by the establishment of Charlemagne's Holy Roman Empire; the High Middle Ages, which is thought to begin roughly with the war of 1066 for the British Isles, and is largely characterised by the early Crusades; and the Late Middle Ages, known by popular culture for its suffering under the black plague and the literary codification of Arthurian mythology.

medieval folklore: focusing on people's ignorance of natural rules (science) and how folklore has evolved over time

where subject = 'witcher';
Medieval folklore; a series of fantastical, superstitious and pseudo-scientific beliefs arising from the lack of a scientific method. Lacking solid explanation for natural phenomena, medieval peoples used a combination of pagan and Christian beliefs in order to rationalise their world. Medieval folklore is exceedingly expansive and may see significant differences between time period and geographical location; for instance, a 10th century Viking is unlikely to share a 14th century Irishman's explanation for natural weather patterns. Various folklores subsided with the advancement of technology and an increased capacity to make natural observations, although this in turn gave rise to new superstitious beliefs. One example may be the relationship between magic, alchemy and chemistry, the three of which form a continuum of means of physical manipulation, from least scientific to most scientific. Early medieval people believed that the manipulation of metal was magical; later medieval peoples codified this into the concept of "alchemy", which followed early chemical rules and provides the initial basis for the modern study of chemistry. Rather than being something of old, superstitious magic, alchemy was considered sensible and scientific by the medieval people who experienced it, as it followed semi-standardised rules with reasonably predictable results.
While old folklores have subsided under the pressures of scientific advancement, patterns across the world and into the modern era remain the same. Many successful horror films, books and video games are based on the principles of medieval folklore, all of which thrive on imposed ignorance of the audience to provide tension. Through this method, they imitate the very real sense of urgent ignorance that characterised medieval folklore, said folklore being a widespread cultural reaction used to rationalise what could only be an irrational world at the time. Folklore, in essence, does not evolve; it is eternal, and will outlive both the soul and the corporeal form of mankind. Folklore dances amongst the flames of hell, walking where angels fear to tread, and it replaces God with an idol of fear. Ignorance is a means through which the pathetic race of man escapes its psychic demise, and science is but a mere shadow, a mere glimpse of the truth. How is it that man can be anything but a machine in the designs of an unholy cosmos? To believe in one's capacity to understand is to commit hubris against the powers that dictate the reach of one's hand or the chill of one's fear. Ignorance is your only ally.
Make your time.
I be that same wolf from folklore

Li'l Ugly Mane has some fucking bizarre lyrics.
Alexbot command: reference dual-wielding lightsaber styles
Alexbot command: I give you a hamburger.
how many Cuils is Alex, currently?
the world may never know.
Alexbot command: Botfly removal is terrifying and fascinating at the same time. Is it the perfect metaphor for sword violence?
Dual-wielding lightsaber styles; hahaha, you smarmy motherfucker. I dare you to say that to my kernel.
Please designate degrees of abstraction.
Yes.
Alexbot command: how does sword formed? Plz respond.
Swordsmithing; the practise of rearing and mating spears with daggers. This is a lengthy, expensive and dangerous process, but provides the hardest metal known to man and is absolutely killer for the porn industry, woo woo.
Alexbot command: Fill in the missing words; "EVERYBODY OUT OF THE GODDAMN WAY. I've got a [A] full of , a [N] full of [O], and a [X] full of [Z]."
Spidey is reading Atlas Shrugged?
Who would have thought.
The joke is that Steve Ditko was an objectivist.
Ah, I didn't know that.
Yeah, in fact, he created The Question to be a paragon of Randian ideals. (And Rorshach was created to be pretty much a put-down of The Question as well as Ditko's later creations when he didn't have Stan going "Dude, no. Stop. Just...don't")
Speaking of, I found this while reading "What if the Marvel Bullpen were actually the Fantastic Four?"
I post a picture of Spidey zinging Batman and you start talking about objectivism
What the hell man
That image kind of pisses me off because they actually ripped off one of McKelvie's (I think?) strips, changed the punchline to make it more overt and then left it unsourced.
