There seem to be a lot, since every moderately large anime site now has a J-Drama section...

    I watched one, and it was stupid. No seriously, they can make the noises needed to sound sad, but the facial expressions are all the same.

    So we bought a pirated DVD.

    They may sound the same, but they all have the same facial expression, like they are looking at a mirror where the sun is reflecting and they clinch their eyes a bit, and their eyebrows are shaped to make them look inquisitive.
