Or in the parlance of TvTropes, "So Okay It's Average".
I was watching Battle: Los Angeles, and it was like a very subtle, unfunny parody of its genre. It wasn't awful, but it had parts that verged on narm, or stretched my suspension of disbelief. It really wasn't very substantial at all, and it felt like I was just killing time. I mainly watched it so I could get a chance to spend time with my dad.
How popular are these kinds of movies? Does anyone involved in making them get any satisfaction out of their involvement?

People aren't idiots. At worst, people can be somewhat ignorant, but not stupid by any stretch.
