More Con drama.

Ugh....will it end.... Okay, remember how I said I was worried that my mom wanted to an anime con, San Japan, with me? She finally said I could go alone. But now she's actually demanding I buy merch for her. She's gonna make me waste my money buying Merch for her. Can't this woman leave me alone?! Also, she's convinced that some Shotacon is gonna kidnap me and kill me....ugh. And I may not be able to go all three days, lest I manage to move heaven and earth and get my dad to take me all three days.

Comments

  • Did she give you the money in the first place?

Buying merchandise isn't the worst thing, unless she literally wants you to blow most of your money on her

    Has friends besides tanks now
Question: is it actually money that you earned yourself, or money that she was going to give you so you could buy stuff for yourself? I would just be glad that she is showing an appreciation for the nature of the event, but that might be me. And I have a feeling you'll have plenty of money anyway.

Otherwise, that sounds like it sucks.
  • Yeah, she's giving me money expressly for her stuff (my dad's saving up money for me to buy my own stuff).
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
Also, she's convinced that some Shotacon is gonna kidnap me and kill me....ugh.

    this makes no sense

wouldn't a shotacon want to have sex with you instead? why would they kill you?
  • Okay, either kidnap me and kill me, or kidnap me and rape me.

Anyway, I'm not even telling her that I'm meeting up with a guy from Doujinstyle. That would be too much drama to bear.

^^^ Ah, then no issue there

As for the three days thing, can you explain that in more detail?
  • The con takes place over over three days on a weekend. I want to go all three, but that requires my dad to take me all three days. I don't know if he will.
  • Woki mit deim Popo.
Shotacon?  I think you're a bit too old be a shota.

^^ What reasons would he have?
  • Because he just doesn't feel like it?

    Welcome to parent bullshit.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
Because he doesn't feel like going out of his way for days on end to accommodating a kid who doesn't appear to be appreciating what he is doing for him, but is rather resenting him for what he is not?

Well, if he doesn't want to do all three days, try to cut a deal with him
  • All you have to do is get some souvenirs for her?

    /zeropity

Get over it already. That's barely even that bad compared to some parents my friends have.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    That was rude, sorry, Chagen.

I think, though, that instead of complaining about your father not taking you there for all three days, you should thank him for taking you there at all.
  • Well, buy her stuff, she's not gonna do it herself because you practically asked her not to, and it's not like it's a huge favour.
  • «Yeah, she's giving me money expressly for her stuff (my dad's saving up money for me to buy my own stuff).»
    Then what's the problem?
