Or ones on the background like a leftover spear in a pile. Assuming you can actually get close to the background, of course.

They don't have to have crazy stats or something (unless it's from a superboss) but a lot of the time they just have better looking stuff.

  • What sort of games are you playing? Most shooters and WRPGs (not as familiar with these) let you pilfer enemy stuff.
  • I was thinking of MMOs mostly.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
WoW raid bosses often drop the weapon they were using.

A lizardman is carrying a giant dragon-bone, dipped and acid, hundreds of blades that it took from those it killed and strapped them together with their spines, and uses it to bludgeon people to death.

For me? Oh, it's an Iron Sword I bought from a vendor.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
Also more games need the ability to disarm, I really like disarm style skills for the fact you are given the enemies weapon.
    (Sacred you did that right.)
  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human
I actually paid attention and noticed that in Super Mario RPG, there are absolutely NO enemy spells that you can use, and absolutely no spells you can use that enemies will also use.

Even when the game is trying to "clone" your character for various reasons.
