    The people that support this argue that Chell's growth was artificially controlled, to explain the age.

    I find it odd that they'd jump to that explanation rather than saying Chell was a test tube babby/clone.

    They say both. Also, she kind of is. Portal 2 takes place hundreds of years after the first, so either, Chell clone, or test tube baby.
