    Random Musings was a +68 and It Just Awes Me was only a 48+ on the death of IJBM. What the fuck happened?

    There was never actually a plan to redo it. Some people just decided it was going to happen and started talking about what to do with it.

    It's still winning by a huge margin, but the mods said they have zero plans for doing it. It didn't help that there was hardly anyone in the thread supporting the change, just several diehard IJAM supporters.

    I think the issue with that name was that it wasn't distinctive enough from Yack Fest.

    I really don't get the point of IJAM.  Even though IJBM was full of shitposting and trolling and flamewars, it was at least possible to have an actual discussion there.  It doesn't seem like you can do that in IJAM, mostly since if you wanted to actually talk about something, you could just use Yack Fest or the relevant Media forum.

    We could purposely fill YF with as many megathreads as possible until its reputation becomes "megathreads only", then argue that a "Random Musings" or "I've Been Thinking About" forum would be different enough from YF.

    (this isn't importing/exporting drama, is it?)
