  • The fact is, it shouldn't be an epitome stereotype though. It should be it's own enjoyable niche category as well, rather than something everything should emulate and revolve around.

This left or right system is annoying, I want it to be a north south east west system, where you can go more than one direction.

You're right, but I'm afraid we've got a long way to go before anything like that is possible.  It certainly sounds appealing though, not feeling like there's something wrong with me for enjoying "children's" movies or feeling like a degenerate because I don't want to have to choose between entering male or female in my "Gender" category.
  • Well, it's not like it's knowledge you can't live without or anything.  I haven't been cycling sine I was a kid; I much prefer running and hiking.

No, F stands for Fanny, and M stands for Mae.
  • As a fellow Midwestern troper, I can attest to that.  At least you live in a city, where most of what you need shouldn't be too hard to reach on foot or with public transportation.

IJBM: Trikes are not more popular in the U.S..

I visited (mainland) China once.  There were a TON of trikes all over the place.  People were carrying gigantic loads of crops and other stuff on trikes.  Yes, adult-sized trikes.

I'd love to see them around here.
  • ^^ Wait, you mean actual tricycles?

^ So your situation is exactly like mine, then.  At least if you do like me all the extra running will get you into pretty good shape.

I live so far in the suburbs that public transportation is essentially useless. There's one bus that goes into Downtown at 6 AM and one bus that comes back out at 4 PM.

Edit: Ok, just checked again. They've added a couple buses since the last time I checked, but it's still not really worthwhile.
