I probably already made this thread, but whatever.

Copy-pasted from my conversation with Wicked:

Recovery is the most disappointing album I've heard since Human After All. The lyrics are incredibly interchangeable and generic, the beats are the same, there's not a single song that stands out in terms of any type of stylistic production, and he seems to have regressed in knowledge. Remember how chilling Kim and Stan were? Yeah, thanks for spelling out DOMESTIC ABUSE IS BAD HUR-HUR, moron (though I will give the song some small credit: having Rihanna sing the chorus actually gives it weight, no matter how feeble). Also, the first lyrics of the album are: "Don't give me the dick, just call me the ballsack, I'm nuts, Michael Vicking this bitch, dog." He's officially become the Seltzer and Freidberg of rap; just sticking nonsensical, random lyrics together in the vain hopes of sounding edgy, when in reality he sounds lazy and childish. How numbskulls got it through their hollow heads that Recovery deserved to beat The Suburbs at the Grammys is beyond my capabilities of rational thought.

    I like that album, too. Another problem is that he has given up his edgy old self, and now sings about how abusive relationships are bad, and that's terrible, instead of how he's going to rape his mom and take a chainsaw to your face.

    If they do trippy sex techno music with nerdy lyrics well, good for them. Eminem does not do his new style well at all, so he sucks for that.
