If you have an email ending in @hotmail.com, @live.com or @outlook.com (or any other Microsoft-related domain), please consider changing it to another email provider; Microsoft decided to instantly block the server's IP, so emails can't be sent to these addresses.
If you use an @yahoo.com email or any related Yahoo services, they have blocked us also due to "user complaints"

"Ave." is considered more proper/correct than "Av."
In school, I was always taught that "Avenue" is correctly abbreviated as "Ave." and that "Av." was nonstandard at best and UNACCEPTABLE AND WRONG at worst.
Why is that? "Av." fits in with the other two-letter street abbreviations ("Rd.", "St.", "Dr.", etc.), and it's not as if it's ambiguous.
I have the same question with "Boulevard" and "Blvd." vs. "Bl."
