  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
I'm honestly more concerned about their holograms.

Quit dissing CSI. They are the only ones who even accept my scripts in the emails I send them.
  • Whilst I will never forgive CSI for "Fur and Loathing" (and that's all I'm going to say about that), I still have to say...

TWO PEOPLE BANGING THEIR FINGERS ON A KEYBOARD IS NOT HOW YOU FIGHT A HACKER!

And shooting out a monitor will do NOTHING.

    ?
  • NCIS, two separate occasions.

In one episode (which is generally filled with fail), a computer game installs a hacking tool on your computer that activates when you beat it, which essentially attempts to hack the pentagon.

The episode ends with Gibbs finding the computer and shooting it all over the place, however, one screen flickers back and shows that the hacking is still going, which Gibbs shoots.

If he only shot the monitor, he didn't stop it. Hence, why I am upset about this.

On the second one, which is an episode that I don't remember, Abby and McGee both combat a hacker attempting to...hack...them... by banging their fingers on a keyboard, going against all logic. This makes no sense.

The question mark was a link.

"Fur and Loathing" is about furries, and many internet furries (I say internet because most of the IRL furries shrugged it off since they knew that episode was inaccurated and carried on their merry way) overreacted and took it as a personal attack and launched a stupid ass anti-CSI campaign against it, declaring that CSI is attempting to smear every furry in existence and "make it acceptable to persecute them as perverted lunatics", when the majority of them were, of course, blowing it out of fucking proportion and didn't even know anything about the episode beyond the summary.

It was kind of a bad blow against them when it came to this weird "furry rights" thing they were declaring. I wish most of the bandwagon jumpers would realize that internet furrydom is an artstyle and a fetish, and not try to evolve it into a lifestyle or a widespread culture and stop being so offended by backlash and rejection of it.
  • Ah.

The episode is known for its...not so accurate portrayal of the furry fandom, essentially making it seem like every furry ever goes to orgies dressed in a fursuit.

    Lined with latex.

Again, to keep a flamebait from starting, that's all I'm going to say about that.
  • Whilst I agree with Vorpy that it was blown out of proportion, you have to admit that bad things happened to some younger furries who have parents who had seen the episode...
  • I swear they did another inaccurate episode on Adult Babies, or some other crimw show did.
  • Fuckin' Hell.

    Miles, I feel your pain.
  • It's strange, Chagen.

We have very different ideologies yet seem to be quite similar...

Stop being not-me. It's getting distracting.

That is unfortunately the price you have to pay when your parents figure out about your sexuality and your fetishes and don't quite agree with them or understand them, which is why it's best to explain it to them immediately before they are influenced by something else, and make them listen.

You should have seen my mom's face when she found out I was into sexual bloodletting before I told her.

Also generally I find realism furry hard to understand since it's nigh impossible to perfectly portray yourself within the fetish or find appropriate times to "merge" with the fursuit (since generally walking around in public areas without the intent of garnering attention for a certain idea, or creating humor confuses and weirds people out). Online, you can generally keep all of your artwork and porn to yourself.

My mom was indifferent about my fetishes and tendencies when she first found out, but we're all good now.
  • You can change. You can.
     sexual bloodletting

    Hmmm?
  • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
I liked drinking my own blood out of shotglasses. A pseudovampire girl I met in middle school motivated me to do it and I eventually just accepted it and began doing it every month or so.
  • This is true, Vorpy.

Albeit, the hilarity comes from the fact that they had already known before they had ever even seen the episode and thought I had lied to them about what it really is since "THE WRITERS OBVIOUSLY LOOK UP WHAT THEY'RE MAKING THE EPISODE ABOUT!" (paraphrased slightly)
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
Except they did not do the research.
  • $80+ per session
Blood is tasty. But I can't drink but a little.

And this is why my dad does not know a thing about my sexual proclivities.

Though, when I leave the house, I'm giving him a copy of my hardrive to go through. Then he'll see what his "pure christian son" did behind the scenes.
  • That is the problem though, Cygan. People believe that they *did*.

And Chagen, doing that would cause a needless argument.

Plus, there's a better way. Simply take a picture involving every fetish you have and mail it to your father for hilarious fun times.
  • Miles: I would just give him the hard drive, and then leave (probably to travel out-of-state to college).
  • 'eh, just make sure you don't have anything legally ambiguous on there.

    It could end badly O.o
  • $80+ per session
    "College"

    With what money?
  • Leave him no way of following you.

AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO SEES A PROBLEM WITH THE FACT THEY HAVE GODDAMNED HOLOGRAM EQUIPMENT

You are not, Cygan. Not at all.

    *hugs*

It's just difficult to find a way of criticizing them whilst also being informative and funny.

I have no idea why I can tolerate hologram equipment but rage at zoom and enhance. I know why I rage at zoom and enhance. Why I don't rage at hologram equipment is a mystery to me
