The Pause Trick

They call me Rate Miser, whatever I see... turns overrated in my eyes...
Has anyone ever used the trick (or a variation) in which you rapidly pause the game in order to cheat past crowded situations? I'm surprised that game developers still haven't noticed it yet.

    Is there any similar thing for Jewel Man or are you just saying he's legitimately difficult?  Because I didn't think any of the robot masters in MM9 were hard.

    ^^^ The pause trick is usable in any game in which the pause screen doesn't obscure the action, or practically any game if you can quickly grasp the screen in your head, pinpoint where each projectile or enemy will go, and have enough time to react.

    It's cheap for scrolling shooters.

    ^^^ Am I the only one who finds Air Man difficult? I don't think standing there and taking his attacks while waiting for the chance to spam Wood Man's weapon is how you are intended to beat him.

    Get behind him, or, you know, jump through the tornadoes and shoot him in the face a lot.  I remember only one pattern is particularly difficult to dodge.  Just push forward through them before they get moving.
