    I swear to god, if you shoot a missile at it, it steps out of the 2 dimensional plane, grabs the missile in midair, steps back in and then throws it at you.

    If you press all the face buttons as you enter the room in which the Golden Torizo is kept, you get all of the powerups in the game, 700 energy, 300 backup energy, 100 missiles, 20 super missiles, and 20 power bombs.

    And at the OP: If he's throwing your missiles back at you, then don't use missiles. You have the Charge Beam, right?

    To be honest, the only boss in that game I had trouble with was Ridley.

    ^^ You're wrong.  If you do that, you get only 500 energy, 200 backup energy, 20 missiles, 5 super missiles, and 10 power bombs, but you also get the spider ball and the scan visor.

    Also, it's actually possible to hit golden torizo with super missiles; it can only catch one at a time.

    I feel sorry for people who do speed runs and miss a lot of the energy tanks. Few energy tanks + Ridley = murder.

    Fun fact: The mockball is a point of dispute as to whether it's a legitimate play feature or an illegitimate glitch, for the purpose of non-tool-assisted speedruns.  As a result, there are actually mockball and non-mockball speedruns of SMet.
