Everyone knows that all this is for is for oogling pretty women, who look mostly generic (think eyeshadow, slightly-wavy let-down hair, and tall oval faces).  The questions are a joke.

    Generic and some of them really do over do the make up/plastic surgery.

    How come USA gets it's own part as it is a country so it shouldn't need to be separate.
    Also these crossed out bits aren't really serious to clarify.

    Never really got beauty pageants seems very dull, and forced.

    Beauty pageants for little girls.  As in, barely out of toddler-age.  Those are just frankly disturbing.

    Thankfully that isn't common in the UK.
    However LivingTV does have in it's 'laugh at american lifestyles line up' Tiaras and Toddlers.
    Which showcases all the 'best' of US kids beauty pageants, and they are fucking creepy, I've never seen such unnatural looking children before.
    Also the parents who are trying to live through their children are also fucking scary.

    "Miss universe" just makes me think the people who named that are tentacle rape fans.

    Also the participants tend to not be that attractive from my point of view and i'm the sort of person who thinks women on generic korean dramas that are the main love interests (a.k.a. "person with an appearance chosen for marketing purposes") look rather nice.

    It's only available on the satellite channels so you have to buy Sky/Virgin, we don't get it by default. (Fortunately)
    My housemates had it last year and enjoyed the spectacle.
