I bought a Nintendo Wii.

If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
It cost me $179.

It was black.

It came with Mario (Kart?) and a steering wheel.

... The Mario game costs $99 on its' own.

Yes. It is now cheaper to trade in your old Wii, and buy a completely new Wii rather than buy Mario by itself.

That's wrong. There is no way that any Wii game at all, sans Wii Fit, could possibly be that much.

For reference, the game with the steering wheel is, in fact, Mario Kart, and I got it about a week after it came out. It cost me $50.

So no offense, but you were resoundingly screwed over.

I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
Christ £64 for a wii game.

You were ripped of badly. Or Australia has a terrible price on games.

    ^^ Cygan lives in Australia.

Video games tend to be significantly more expensive in Australia.

    Australia.

I wasn't ripped off badly. I didn't buy the Wii game. I bought the Wii console itself for $179, which CAME with the game.

Ah misreading, but I still feel your prices seem a little exorbitant in general.

And yet we buy them more easily than American's do.

Wow. That sucks. $99 for a video game? Be glad you didn't buy a PS3 game, then.

    In what way?
(Not like it bothers me being Uk and all).
  • I wonder how this would have went in Australia. I thought it was really stupid the first time I read it but dem pricez.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    -shrug-

It's really $99 for not just the game, but the accessories too, like the wheel, but it's only sold as a bundle, so...

    In what way?

    We save money easily here.

    Australia in general?
    (Am I missing something?)
  • The real rip-off.... is that you bought a Wii.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    I dunno.

What I do know is that game stores here run a lucrative business, so that's how I figure.

    They're somethin' else.
So you bought a Wii. Good.

Heavily, heavily research what you're about to buy before you buy it. The gems are there, but you really have to sift through all the shovelware. Once you find a quality game though, that makes the shovelware obsolete.

I only really plan on buying two games for it- Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.

    No love for SSBB?
  • Morgan Freeman is God
You should've waited for the Wii U to come out, it'll presumably be backwards-compatible with Wii games.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
It will also very likely be three times as expensive, while I'm trying to save to move out.

    ^^^ I don't like Brawl.

I used to think you were a cool mod.

I would post Fairy nuff again but twice in one page is too much.
Is Skyward Sword a Zelda title?

    Yes, it is.
