Gantz ~ The Katastrophe Arc
a.k.a. Final Phase.
Holy shit...
I'ma probably just do a lot of gushing over something most people would find horrible... but by Thor... I thought Gantz was pretty messed up just from seeing the anime. Now I've read most of the manga, I've seen whole new standards for fuck-uppedness.... but NOTHING in the first two phases even comes close to how totally FUBAR the Final Phase is. <3
I thought at first it was just going to be a typical armageddon scenario..... but... the mass-harvesting of the human bodies for blood, the parasitic bugs that lay their eggs in the escapees, the human bodies being served up as dog-food for giant alien dogs, even right down to the creepy little alien girl who picks up Kurono's crying girlfriend and starts playing with her with this demented smile... <3
I've never witnessed anything so deliciously fucked up and gornographic in all my life! ^_^
SECOND BEST MANGA EVER.
I guess after this it'll either be Berserk or Battle Royale... unless I get in the mood for something softer and light-hearted.
