Boss battle theme is decent.  Magus's theme is decent.  Lavos's second battle theme is decent.  But I won't stand by your going meh at the epic main theme.

I've used that as an alarm clock theme to awaken me to important days of my life.

I actually find the battle theme unremarkable, though I like it more that way since I don't like small-scale battle themes being such huge epic deals that I only ever hear the beginning of.

That said, I prefer those areas when you don't have that music for battles and it just uses ambience.

^^ You mean the battle themes?  Add in FFIX if you want.  Though FFI's battle theme isn't in A minor, but II through VI and IX are.

I loved  CT's gameplay. I didn't buy CC because it didn't recycle the gameplay.

Also because it was for the PSX, and I'm a Nintendofag.

I like CT's soundtrack (especially "Corridors of Time"), but I have to say that the battle themes are rather average, which compared with Final Fantasy's battle themes and Seiken Densetsu's (at least Secret of Mana and SD3) boss themes, is rather disappointing.

"Corridors of Time"'s instrumentation grates on me a little bit, but its remixes are some of the best things ever--such as Zeal Love and CT Resurrection!Corridors of Time.

Honestly, I do like JRPG gameplay.  And I've played JRPGs before entirely because of the gameplay, despite the story and characters and everything else being mostly crap.
