Cars that have different arrangements for the gears.

I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
I'm learning to drive, and gears are not as scary as I 'd thought, however they are still something I'm definitely going to have get used to using.

However the learning car(which would also be the one I took a test in) has different a different arrangement in where the gear positions are than my parents car that I can practice in has.

I doubt it will be very helpful.

    Automatic or manual transmission?

    Just watch the display or the stick as you're changing gears.

    Manual, no one drives automatic over here.

    I'm meant to be watching the road though, I mean it is possible to do by touch as that's why they have the different positions etc. However the fact there isn't a universal or even a UK standard gearstick set up is kind of irritating.
