Black Swordtails

They are allegedly one of the most expensive breeds of swordtail to get, and they are much harder to make happy in your aquarium due to how much free space they need (since if you have different breeds of fish in your aquarium, they will isolate themselves from them).

They are the hellishly expensive too (6.55 a fish) for a normal water aquarium fish, and although they don't dirty up the tank as quickly as goldfish, they do tend to be picky eaters.

But aren't they so cute?

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
    Those eyes.

    How they stare.

The greatest thing about these fish is, in the middle of the night, when you have the light off, you can look at your fish tank, and no matter how dark it is, you'll see these little eyes floating around in the fishtank STARING at you.

Sometimes they just sit there and stare at you.
  • Fish are incapable of closing their eyes.

Well, yeah, that's because they don't have eyelids.

    And they don't need them.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
These fish are incredibly, incredibly disconcerting.

Couldn't you have posted something nicer, like a shark?
