^ Yeah, that's pretty much what I do.

As a general rule, I simply look for whatever expression I need in google, or I scan whatever it is I'm watching. Or rip it from my comics and caption it. Or use the images my friends find when they are bored and caption them later.

I almost want to counter you two by uploading like every scene Hayate shows up in without an art shift in Hayate no Gotoku but that work has 78 episodes, 27 manga volumes (currently) and an upcoming movie so unless I can get some program to do it for me there's no way i'm going to do that after how I wasted like an entire hour just collecting the cutest scenes of Touhara Naoya from a single episode.

I make the text on mine with roflbot. Because gimp, Irfanview, etc all suck.

But I need more base images.

Thanks for that link, I wondered how people made text on theirs without going to some random meme generator site.

Most of my image macros come from either scene caps of Lucky Star/Azumanga Daioh DVDs, stuff from other series like Sketchbook, K-On!, Nichijou, or random art found on the internet. I can send you links to the Lucky Star ones if you would like them.
