I have this desire to save ridiculously cheap resources...

Like using both sides of a paper when I draw, spending at least a half hour to look for a used paper to write some note on instead of getting a new one, only using like three drops of hand soap each time I wash my hands, etc. when I have far more than enough money to purchase this stuff often.

I also have a habit of wasting more expensive resources, like having the computer on for very long periods of time, keeping all the lights on for most of the day, taking showers for long than an hour every day...actually i'm not sure if these really are more expensive, but people bitch about others using it too much more often so.

I don't really care about what happens to the environment as long as I don't face noticeable negative consequences on my own life either...

  • " when I have far more than enough money to purchase this stuff often."

    Wait, I thought you were busted as hell.
  • If that was true I wouldn't be using a computer right now.
  • Aren't you a butler?

    I thought you're master payed for stuff like that.
  • Well she does tend to pay for most of the stuff but I usually pay for my own stuff with the money I get as pay, even though she explicitly said that she doesn't mind buying stuff for me.

    O_O;;

    YOU'RE A BUTLER?!
    Gawdz.... that is.... awesome beyond... I didn't think that shit really happens.

    Oh... and I totally do that too.  Got told off at work for keeping a "snot rag" on my desk. i.e. a tissue that I wouldn't throw away until I'd covered every square centimetre of it with my nose-contents.

    I don't see what's so awesome about it...

    I mean it's not like I automatically gain teleportation powers and a master that considers tens of thousands of dollars pocket change, no matter how much I totally want to.
  • I dunno.
    At some level I figured it was probably something I was always meant to do, but that it didn't really happen any more.
    That said, one of my few friends (my total friends can be counted on one hand) works as a Nanny for a rather rich family.... so.... meh. Isn't such a stretch, I suppose.

    O'course I probably only figured I was meant to do it because my second middle-name is Hargreaves... and it sounds butlerish... and people used to call me that at school to piss me off throughout my childhood.
