I stopped being aroused by it years ago. The more abnormal fetishes lost their WTF-factor a while ago. I'm no longer able to appreciate is from an aesthetic / beauty viewpoint. I've seen pretty much all of the crazy, mind-raping porn, and nothing freaks me out or fazes me now. It's not even fun to snark anymore. Even comparing my friends to porn-stars that they look eerily similar too has lost all of it's charm. Porn does absolutely nothing for me anymore.

I feel as if a part of me has just died.

I still enjoy it, but porn was a lot more exciting when I was a minor and had unfounded guilt trips about it.

Come to think of it, my thoughts of romance and attraction to girls in general kind of hit its peak back then, too. 

Oh well, I think overall I'm satisfied with exchanging passion for emotional stability. Maybe it's just part of growing up. I think my libido's reasonably healthy enough, anyway.

^^That makes sense. For me, though, it's not so much a thing of exchanging passion for anything, since I still have that, just in a different context. It's just odd, like realizing you no longer love a show or a song as you did when you were younger, or finding a hobby that you once loved boring.

Most fans of the reboot hate the old incarnations of the show, and I don't know enough about the psychology of the older fans to give an informative answer.

I'd guess that anyone who had a sexual attraction to cartoon ponies would be happy with the new generation and the influx of pony 34. I've heard some of the more perverse fans claim that the ponies AS THEY APPEAR IN THE SHOW are physically attractive.

And... there are some scenes in the show that I'd imagine could be arousing to them.

See, and that's sad. A few years ago, that would've squicked me out to the point where it would actually become sort of amusing to me, but now, not so much. I've already seen fetishes so much more gross and depraved that pony-lusting just doesn't cut it.

I just think the fan demographics are just too different.  I've been to few fan boards and I do notice that there's seem to be a lot differences between old fandom and the new fandom.  The old fandom is mostly older women who grew up with toys and show.  The newer fandom seems to be mostly college age guys who like the show.

Yep. The reason I got into porn in the first place was a friend showing it to me and me snarking it so badly that he wasn't the least bit aroused by it after.

In hindsight, the though of a male friend (that I later found out had a crush on me) introducing me to porn is somewhat disturbing.
