I just took Two MLP:FIM quizzes

I turned out as Twilight Sparkle on one and Applejack on another. just wanted to get this out there for some reason.

    The show itself has not undergone memetic mutation. Scenes/still images have, but not the show itself.

    A cartoon is nothing if not a series of scenes and still images. You could as well deny that the last two seconds of Never Gonna Give You Up are part of the meme.

    I'm just saying it's a little arbitrary to say 10 seconds of video can be memetic where 10 hours can't.

    The difference is ten seconds of video can be viewed relatively easily, thereby making for quick/easy viewing, whereas ten hours of video is... not.

    A meme is an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture. While genes transmit biological information, memes are said to transmit ideas and belief information.


    Going by the Dawkins (Read: The guy who came up with the concept in the first place) definition, I'd say Gelzo is right.

    It just so happens that internet memes are short stuff due to Internet-spawned ADD.
