It yeah...It's strange. Well it seems normal to me now but then that's likely from my living off weird Japanese shit since I was like 4. EXTREMELY CAMP FAT MEN AS VILLAINS AND GIANT ROBOTS THAT WIELD EXTENDING PIPES ARE NORMAL TO ME.

Out in the states it goes by the name of Mystical Ninja and Legend of Mystical Ninja.

Yes those are relatively mundane things. Extending pipes of doom...I haven't seen those elsewhere.

Like pipes used to smoke with. Goemon fights with a pipe and in a few of the games they extend and if I recall correctly can be used vaguely like a hookshot...

Oh, I just rented the N64 game once and didn't find it that enjoyable, and later on in life tried a rom of some Goemon game and thought it was kinda mehtastic.

Unlike pretty much every games magazine of the time, I preferred Goemon's Great Adventure to Mystical Ninja. That said, GGA didn't have 'PUURRAASSSMAAA!', which costs it points.
