    Japanese freeware website! A certain law applies to all the games here, but many of them are genuinely awesome. This site is how I found Cavestory (imagine my surprise when I discovered it had been translated).

    I recommend the cute games category (which has surprisingly little to do with games actually being cute).

    If you have time to binge, you're wasting your time. However, there are casual things I would recommend, like the aforementioned Gunnerkrigg Court and Dr. McNinja.

    Also, have you checked out this season's anime, or do you stay away from that?

    Have you read Gotham Central yet, Juan? It's about the MCU division of Gotham. It's The Wire-meets-Noir-meets-superheroes occasionally showing up.

    I think it was after that arc where the Joker shoots everyone and he has Gotham by the balls.

    OK, recatched up to where I was. The case of the girls who were poisoned or something.

    So far, the names still elude me a lot, but it's easy to keep track of the characters as their faces are mildly recognizable. I really don't like the art, but I can live with it. 

    Also, it may be because of GoT, but I really wish this was adapted into Cable TV. Except that I wouldn't want the same storylines, just...the same whole thing with different storylines, you know what I mean?

    I gotcha... though after Smallville I feel I've had enough 'vague hinting at superheroes' stories, except this might actually be good.

    I think that the great thing about GC is that it's really not necessarily about the super crimes. Sure, it's probably where most of the appeal is, but the whole thing is about the detectives and how they deal with a city that is so fucked up beyond belief it spawn some really awful crimes.

    Also, the advantage is there's no reason to hold on Batman's activity as he's already a full blown superhero roaming around town and all that.

    Right. I know. It's just that I can see some exec going "Yeah, but do we need to really show how corrupt the cops are? People don't like moral ambiguity." and stuff until it becomes a CSI clone where Batman occasionally shows up.
