Plus, it's only really bad to be a one dimensional character if I'm a main character. Side characters don't need as much depth or character development because they're less important. And being the a main character would be annoying since I'd be expected to do things.

Therefore, by having as shallow a personality as I can, I free myself from the responsibility of having to do a lot of plot-relevant things.

Or something.
