People who take Tidus' and Yuna's laugh out of context

edited 2011-05-27 19:17:39 in Media
I don't mean people who link to the You Tube video, I mean people who use it as an argument against the game's voice acting.

For people who haven't played the game, it sounds forced and ridiculous because it's forced and ridiculous in-story. They follow it with genuine laughs, just like the player probably did.

It's definitely an example of It Makes Sense In Context. I link to it knowing full well what it actually represents, and it's more amusing for it.

I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
Whilst it does make sense in context, it is supremely irritating.
  • The scene itself is corny, but that's not really the voice actors' fault. I remember when people used it as an argument against the English dub, which is funny, because it sounds even worse in Japanese.
  • They're somethin' else.
Oh, so it was meant to be annoying? I'm sorry.
