D&D character classes and races are inevitably linked to characterization and stereotyping

VICIOUS MOCKERY AGAINST SOMEONE PLAYING 4e
> Heavy metal songs that make your enemies explode?
This would be really. freaking. awesome.
"I play a guitar riff."
"Okay, roll to see how much sonic damage you do to every opponent."
I came to terms with the fact that the rogue characters I play never do respectable damage. They either do 1d6 if I have a rapier or similar weapon (such as an elven thinblade) or 1d4 if I'm just gonna use a dagger.
Especially for low-strength (i.e. like 10) rogues, I'll be happy with a stack of daggers. Good for throwing AND stabbing.
It's when you play a character that levels up in two different classes simultaneously with each level-up, taking all of the class features of both, and the superior of the overlapping common aspects depending on the classes. It's basically extreme/accelerated multiclassing.
But pretty much, if you want to look at it that way. It's pretty fun, anyway.
