Pretending to be asleep causes me to fall asleep

Has friends besides tanks now
My mom got back to the house pretty late last night, and she would have been pissed if she saw that I was still awake. So I tried to look like I was asleep, with the laptop shut and lights off and everything, hoping she would get back, see that, and leave me be. But it was comfy, so I fell asleep for real before I even knew whether or not she was back.

Not only did I waste time I was going to use to do more writing of my visual novel and watch Durarara!!, but I missed a dramatic thread as well. How am I supposed to be a mod if I'm not around for the shitstorms?

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
But now you have more time.

This doesn't happen to me--the opposite happens, in fact.

    Unless I'm already sleepy.
  • Sleeping at will sounds convenient.

It is. Sometimes. I hear all the time about people who stay up into the wee hours of the night just trying to get to sleep, and I think "sucks for you bro" because I can fall asleep within minutes and sleep like a baby.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
Pretend to pretend to sleep. That might work.

That might work, but it might not. I'll just hope my mom isn't out so frickin' late again for a while.

I was able to sleep at will for a short time when I was in college.

I had somehow so totally screwed up my sleeping schedule that it was possible.  Haven't repeated this feat since unfortunately.
  • You can change. You can.
    Hmmm...

I am somehow capble of sleeping at will. I mean, I've slept...I think I've only slept three hours and I didn't even need an alarm to wake me up this morning. :D
  • You and Juan are lucky. I can't get myself to sleep for anything.

I was too busy being bothered by figments of my imagination.
