I thought maybe he meant it to be onomatopoeia for the sound of a motorcycle's engine, but it seems that he just came up with it out of nowhere. That's no fun.

    I've always thought Durararararara was one "ra" too long. Durara just seems to sound better than Durarara.

    I always pronounce it as "Durará" when I read it. Mostly because of what Noimporta said.

    I mentally add lots of extra "ra"s because it's more fun that way.

    Likewise when I'm reading the title "Suzumiya Haruhi No Yūutsu"  it gets lots of extra "u"s in "yūutsu" because it's more fun to read it like that.

    I thought it was meant to be "Dullalala", because it has a dullahan in it.

    ^ He didn't have a meaning for it at first, but he romanized it as "Dullalala" because of that connection. In any case, it wasn't my guess.
