Almost all of my favorite characters end up dying

Seriously, it is like I have a knack for liking characters who end up getting killed off.

Maes Hughes? From Fullmetal Alchemist? Dead.

Kanaya? From Homestuck? Killed off.

Wash? From Firefly? Doorknob.

Dr. Burrows? From the Tunnels series? Bridge dropped.

Lupin? From Harry Potter? Killed offscreen, fer crying out loud!

Doesn't that mean you got to feel really sad at their deaths? If so, I envy you.

It does, but that doesn't make up for the fact that there won't be any new scenes with him/her.

Especially painful if they end up being a Sacrificial Lion or something and die at the start of the series.

As in, we don't know what show or character they are, so people who know who those characters are, won't know what's behind the tags. I knew some of them, But how did I know I wasn't spoiling something I hadn't seen?
