Radical/Rational expressions.

God dammit, I'm usually extremely good at math and I suck at these. I hate the higher forms of math that have more abstraction than numbers themselves. And I'll probably need this to do any higher form of math.

I guess I have to trash those dreams of being an Engineer...

    What AHR said. It's abstract, sure, but in the end it comes down to more number-crunching. I'm no math tutor, but if you think of it that way, it might help.

    Simplifying radical expressions really just comes down to dividing, and simplifying rational expressions is just a multi-part form of algebraic expression. I'm not sure how much the latter description helps, and both are probably pretty terrible, but if you have any specific questions to ask, I could help. I don't have a problem with either of these kinds of math.
