This happened to the legendary Pokémon Blue file that I had where I'd beaten the Elite Four and Rival Gary with a team that ended up at levels 48-52 by the time I was through with them.  (Needless to say there were some level-ups involved in the course of it.)

When I was younger, I thought this achievement was one of the greatest things ever.

For better or worse, I no longer think that, so I feel less bad about losing this file.

I lost my Crash Bandicoot Warped save file when I was a kid. Someone overwrote it. I never bothered trying to replenish it.

Lost my Worms Armageddon file where I was about 11 missions into the game. Which doesn't sound like much, but I suck at it. Once again, never bothered.

Once a glitch ruined my Pokémon Gold file in which I had raised my Cyndaquil to level 40 before visiting Mr. Pokémon.

Glitch killed my Feraligatr in Gold ;.;

And I once pulled out a gane by accident when it was on. File was fine. As I was not even ten at the time, my stupid brain thought doing it again would be a GREAT idea!
