I'm losing a sense of idnetity

It's become an obsession of late i'm trying to stubbornly cling ot every aspect of my personality ever since I was born. My feminist aspects, my love of subversiveness and distaste for establishment and tradition. my basic personality aspects ever since I was twelve (it's complicated) just everything seems like it will slip awya at any moment.

  • At the risk of sounding insulting, I don't think I've seen very many aspects of your personality that you wouldn't be better off abandoning.
  • I tend to hide most of it because i'm very tense and not relaxed.  It's complicated and my past gets trickier all the time.
  • Your past isn't nearly as important as your current situation, and it should never be used as an excuse to not better yourself.
  • doesn't mean anything without Alexandrea.
  • Identity is flux, embrace the chaos of existence.
    • In matters of style, swim with the current: in matters of principle, stand like a rock.
      • As quoted in Careertracking: 26 success Shortcuts to the Top (1988) by James Calano and Jeff Salzman; though used in an address by Bill Clinton (31 March 1997), and sometimes cited to Notes on the State of Virginia (1787) no earlier occurence of this has yet been located.

Improve the bad aspects of your personality.
  • You can change. You can.
In matters of style, swim with the current: in matters of principle, stand like a rock.

OK, then, then why don't you change your spelling style for starters?

^x3 That quote is made of win.

    • It's complicated.
    • You can change. You can.
Not really, no. Besides, you're actually getting better...
    • Who do you think you are Juan claiming ot think you know about my life and my past?
    • So what the fuck happened in your past, if it's so important?
    • I don't think you have the time or I the patience to explain.
    • You can change. You can.
Who do you think you are Juan claiming ot think you know about my life and my past?

One: I claim to be me. Nothing more, nothing else.

Two: I was talking about your spelling.

Three: I don't give a damn about you, your life, and your past.

IJBM: People who can change and become better people, but they choose not to because of their own fears and insecurities.

      Bah.

^^I honestly don't care, but I figure I'd give you the chance to argue why I should. I'm going to continue assuming there isn't a reason, then.
    • it's complicated I have poor eyesight and some executive functioning disorder. I was never able to see words very well and I always held to a strong sense of identity and "being myself". when I first came ot internet communities I was mocked mercilessly and that had an effect on me I've stood strong in this ever since becaus ei'm sick of people talking about change and improvement like it's the easiest thing in the world. I'm sick of being told to move on or grow up or get over it. It doesn't work and it's never worked.

Tnu, is this going to be another perpetual torrent of sameness again where we offer solutions and you ignore them?
    • Ok you wna tot knwo the problem you always offer the same solutions which i've tried before and they do  NOT WORK!
    • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
Then stop asking the same people for help over and over again if all you are getting are responses that don't help you.
    • right whatever you say Vorpy. Honeslty I think i'd be more content if i'd just follow your lead. If I just said "fuck my identity i'm jumping on the bandwagon"
    • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
Identity is not that important really, on the internet anyway. Only what you say really matters to others.
    • Honestly what's bugging me the most is that I have this sort of inner calm almost like deep down on one level nothings i botheirng me at all. I can't ahve this for some reason. I don't like it because I don't  know why it is. I don't know what it is and that bugs the crap out of me.

I did too, then I realized people were taking advantage of that so I uninstalled it from my service package and got somewhat better at handling maximum trolling.
    • You can change. You can.
Tnu, is this going to be another perpetual torrent of sameness again where we offer solutions and you ignore them?

      You betcha. :D

it's complicated I have poor eyesight and some executive functioning disorder.

Let's deconstruct this brick by brick:

I have poor eyesight and some executive functioning disorder.

One: Health problems shouldn't be a bother. Just because you can't walk doesn't mean you can't move. Spellcheckers are there precisely for people like you, as well as autocorrect functions.

Two: Have you been diagnosed or it's just your guess?

I was never able to see words very well and I always held to a strong sense of identity and "being myself"

Not sure how they are related...but anyway, I already adressed the first point. the second one: Dude...I've been doing the same thing since I decided to make an account with my own personal freaking name. I didn't use a pseudonym or any of that shit. Also, most importantly, keeping the good stuff about yourself and getting rid of the bad stuff is good for you and the people who interact with you...

when I first came ot internet communities I was mocked mercilessly

According to your logic, I am mocking you right now, when all I and the people here have done is give you advice

and that had an effect on me I've stood strong in this ever since becaus ei'm sick of people talking about change and improvement like it's the easiest thing in the world.

It's not easy, but it's the right thing to do.

I'm sick of being told to move on or grow up or get over it. It doesn't work and it's never worked.

It doesn't because you're too busy whining about how you don't want to change because of your "identity" or whatever the fuck.
    • also I have a psychological inability to let go without forgetting or knowing the person is dead. Otherwise it's a state of perpetual fear.

Here's a nice reminder of humanity tnu:

Most of the people you know online were never alive at all. A lot of them are sentient spamghosts and internet vampires dicking with humans on an easily accessable plane. Although they lack a keyboard and a home computer they can make posts just as coherently, almost better, than you.

I may be dead already and you wouldn't even know it.
    • You can change. You can.
      Yeah, we're all Bruce Willis.
    • I refuse to accept that I place as much value on internet freidns as any other i'm sick of the bullshit "they're not real" argument.
    • ☭Unstoppable Sex Goddess☭
We aren't real tnu. Seriously. We are just a figment of your imagination. I cannot provide proof that I am a human being, therefore, I am not. See?
