  • Nationalism exists in Europe, yes, but I thought that flag-waving patriotism is not very common there.
  • Tell that to the populist parties popping up everywhere.
  • Wierd, I heard that one of the main differences between America and Europe was that patriotism is considered rude and slightly offensive in Europe.
  • You can change. You can.
    > Implying Europe is a uniform country.
  • Well, it does have some slight uniform characteristics.

It seems to be more liberal on the whole, and has less of a dislike for social policies.
  • Likes cheesecake unironically.
That reminds me of the NPD, basically the successor's of the NSDAP. Oh, but they are not because they are "democratic". Yeah right. Everybody knows that they are nothing but a bunch of fucking nazis.

They are a small party and it's unlikely that they will get much power. However, they did get seats in my home region one time.

It may be that patriotism and nationalism is not as common here as in the USA, but don't overestimate that. Also, that is only Germany. Other countries, which may not have had such bad experiences with nationalism, are probably less inhibited.

Is there a reason why countries never shut down hate groups like them?

I'm still wondering why the US hasn't shut down Neo-Nazi groups here like the the American Nazi Party.

    Kichigai birthday!!
They shield themshelves in Free Speech I guess. That's why we have two Falange partys here in Spain(fortunately they are very minor, like getting 200 votes per election minor)
  • No rainbow star
...Chagen, it sounds like everybody in the area where you live and go to school needs to be eradicated to prevent further pollution of the gene pool

Also, now I can see why you may be egotistical at times (not insulting you. It does seem like occasionaly you shut down and assume those arguing against you are idiots. If your classmates are really that stupid, then it is no wonder why you do that on occasion. Probably a habit that developed to keep yourself from commiting suicide whenever someone you know in real life speaks). You're still awesome but yeah, it would explain why you shut down and ignore/insult people when you get piled on

And please, nobody else build up on my observation

    I'm already regretting this post
