I don't think there's any mechanism for polls. I could open another category for it, but for now I think you can just run them manually as I've been doing.

Category ideas:
Split up Media
Change religion to Religion/Philosophy, if only because it might attract less flame bait
Add a Real World section.

I don't want the categories to get too thin. I do think "Philosophy" is a good catchall, and IRL topics are worth talking about, so I added those categories. I'm open to more ideas, but wouldn't like to get beyond seven or eight just for aesthetics' sake.

A wonderposting/just for fun genre, perhaps named after Sand Joseiph.
A wiki genre, for talking about the wiki and its fora. Obviously.
A news genre, for talking about stuff that's, well, on the news.
A genre for things that have absolutely nothing to do with complaining.

Here's a clarification on the whole IJBM and TVTropes thing.

The administration at TVTropes axed IJBM because it was a burden on the moderating team. We started IJBM up here for the Tropers who wanted to continue the forum. Have fun! However, to let any work drift back to the TVTropes moderating team (in the form of IJBM vs. YF drama, for instance) would be disrespectful. Our goal is to maintain IJBM for us while relieving the mods of the work IJBM caused for them. Win-win.

To that end I ask you to be model members on TVTropes. That way the unpleasant stench of paranoia can end and we can get on with our shitposts.
