This seems like a massive waste of time. 18+ years spent doing nothing but retreading old and tired knowledge.

No feasible way to get around this, but it still sometimes saddens me.

    Fortunately, we don't have to know everything about a subject in order to discover new things about it.

    Plus, our collective knowledge is stronger than it's ever been thanks to the internet and whatnot. It's easier than ever to find info as it becomes relevant to your situation, instead of having to rely completely on what you've already learned in the past.
