James actually sang well.

Scotty is a Rick Astley wannabe.  The only thing he has going for him is his vaguely bishie looks and his looking vaguely coy when singing.

(If you're wondering, I know about this because my mom watches American Idol.)

    I actually quite liked Casey Abrams. Any heavy-set guy who has the balls to sing "Why Don't You Do Right" by Peggy Lee while playing a bass on a nationally televised Pop idol competiton is a-ok in my book.

    He actually got me interested in watching this season, which I quickly lost upon his voting off.
