    I want to see a Mystery Hunt puzzle involving this.

    Say, a videorecording of an MP3 being played on a computer screen; identify the player program.  And a screenshot of a computer screen; identify the computer brand and/or model.

    Well at least sometimes with videos you can justify it (only not really, because it's still not excusable... just slightly moreso) by saying your computer sucks too much to take a video of the screen, or you don't have the right hardware to record things from your TV, or whatever.  Using your cell phone to take a picture of something on Facebook because you didn't think of hitting the "PrtSc" key is... bizarre.
